Lorraine Taylor Yoga Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all trainings, immersions, workshops, short courses and online learning offered by Lorraine Taylor Yoga (LTY, we, us). By booking and or making payment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1) Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed once we receive the required booking payment, as stated on the training page or in your booking confirmation email. It is your responsibility to check your booking details and notify us of any errors. Any payment deadlines, instalments and fees are shown on the relevant training page or in your booking confirmation email.
2) Training nature and responsibility
All trainings are educational and vocational. They are not psychotherapy, counselling, medical treatment or trauma therapy and LTY does not provide mental health diagnosis or crisis support. Yoga, breathwork, meditation, reflection and group learning can sometimes be challenging or revealing and you are always welcome to pause, modify or step out. You are responsible for practising within your limits.
3) Health information
You agree to complete the intake form honestly and to inform LTY of any physical or mental health factors that may affect safe participation, including injuries, medical conditions, recent surgery, pregnancy and anything that could impact breathwork, movement or long practice days. You do not need to share personal details beyond what is relevant for safe participation.
4) Alcohol, drugs, smoking and vaping
All trainings are drug and alcohol free. We ask that you attend sessions and complete practices alcohol and drug free for your safety and the safety of the group. For in person immersions, smoking and vaping are not permitted during training hours or anywhere on the training venue premises.
5) Digital content
Some trainings include online modules and materials (digital content). Digital content is provided for your personal use only and must not be shared, copied, recorded, resold or distributed.
6) Cancellation and refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing. The Training Start Date is the start date shown on the training page or in your booking confirmation email.
If your training includes online modules or materials provided after booking (digital content), this portion is non refundable once access is provided, except where required by law.
More than 12 weeks before the Training Start Date: refund of fees paid, minus a 5% administration fee.
Between 12 and 8 weeks before the Training Start Date: 50% refund, minus a 5% administration fee.
Within 8 weeks of the Training Start Date: no refund.
If we are able to fill your place, we may offer a higher refund, minus administration fees and any irrecoverable costs already committed. This is not guaranteed.
Exceptional circumstances: Medical emergencies are considered on a case by case basis and documentation is required.
7) Deferral
Deferral requests must be submitted in writing and are subject to availability. Any deferral offered will be confirmed in writing.
8) Cancellation or changes by LTY
LTY may make reasonable changes to the schedule, venue, faculty or content where needed. If LTY cancels a training, you will be offered a full refund of fees paid for the cancelled training or alternative dates. LTY is not liable for travel costs. You are advised to hold appropriate travel and course cancellation insurance.
9) Force majeure
LTY is not responsible for failure to deliver a training due to events beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, war, civil disruption, transport closures, public health emergencies including pandemics and epidemics such as Covid 19, government restrictions or failure of key suppliers, venues or platforms. Where possible, we will offer alternative dates or a transfer. If the training cannot be delivered and no suitable alternative is available, we will offer a credit towards a future training. Refunds, if applicable, will be limited to the portion of fees we have not already incurred in non recoverable costs.
10) Travel and insurance
You are responsible for your travel arrangements and costs. Training fees do not include travel or personal insurance. LTY recommends comprehensive insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident and belongings.
11) Photography, video and confidentiality
We may take photos, video or audio recordings during trainings for teaching and promotional purposes. You may opt out by notifying LTY and we will take reasonable steps to avoid capturing or using identifiable images or recordings of you for promotional use. You agree to respect confidentiality within the group and not to share personal information disclosed by other participants.
12) Certification
LTY is under no obligation to certify any participant who has not met the course requirements.
13) Conduct and removal
LTY may refuse admission or require a participant to leave if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive or incompatible with the wellbeing of the group. In such cases, no refund is due.
14) Complaints
If you have a complaint, please inform Lorraine Taylor as soon as possible so we can try to resolve it promptly.
15) Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to this, you participate at your own risk and agree to take responsibility for your wellbeing during the training.
16) Entire agreement
These Terms and Conditions and the information on the relevant training page or booking confirmation email form the agreement between you and LTY. Any changes must be agreed in writing by LTY.
